Toyosu-ohashi Bridge, Pedestrian bridge in Koto, Japan
Toyosu-ohashi Bridge is a pedestrian crossing over Tokyo Bay linking the districts of Aomi and Ariake, stretching roughly 550 meters in length. The structure reaches up to 60 meters wide and includes an observation area at its center for visitors to stop and look around.
The bridge opened in 2018 as part of the modern development of the Toyosu area. Its completion coincided with the opening of Toyosu Market, marking a major transformation of this waterfront zone.
The bridge serves as a gathering place for people wanting to watch the sunset or take evening strolls across Tokyo Bay. Its nighttime lighting transforms it into a popular spot for photographers and those seeking views of the waterfront.
Access is available from Ichiba-mae Station on the Yurikamome Line with roughly a 9-minute walk, or from Shin-Toyosu Station with roughly a 13-minute walk. The best time to visit is late afternoon when the light becomes soft and the bridge lighting turns on at sunset.
The bridge offers sight lines to Rainbow Bridge, Minato Ward areas, and Harumi district towers visible in the distance from the midpoint. From the observation area at the center, visitors can see several layers of Tokyo's port landscape all at once.
