金沢清水

Kanazawa Shimizu comprises seven natural springs at the base of Mount Iwate that discharge substantial quantities of mineral-rich water each day. This water maintains a consistent year-round temperature and serves multiple purposes including fish farming and agricultural irrigation.

These springs held importance for the region since ancient times under a different name rooted in local lore. In 1985 they received official recognition as one of Japan's most notable water sources.

Local legend connects the seven springs to a mythical seven-headed dragon emerging from the waters, which shaped how people have understood and named this place over generations.
