Tōfū Memorial Museum

The Tōfū Memorial Museum contains exhibitions of calligraphy works, manuscripts, and artistic tools spread across multiple dedicated gallery spaces.

The museum opened its doors on November 1, 1981, to preserve and display the legacy of Ono no Michikaze, a master calligrapher from the Heian period.

The museum exhibits demonstrate the evolution of Japanese calligraphy techniques through collections of historical manuscripts and contemporary interpretations.

Located at 5-9-3 Matsukawadochō in Kasugai City, the museum provides guided tours and educational workshops focused on traditional calligraphy methods.

The facility maintains an archive of original Heian period calligraphy works, allowing researchers to study ancient writing techniques and patterns.
