Ryōnan Park

Ryōnan Park is a recreation facility in Hachiōji featuring sports fields, playgrounds, and activity areas situated along the Minami-Asakawa river. The grounds contain multiple zones designed for different types of community use and leisure.

The site was originally a bicycle racing track before being transformed into a public park in 1968. This conversion brought sports facilities and green space to serve the expanding local community.

During cherry blossom season in spring, the park becomes a gathering place where local residents come together under the flowering trees to observe and enjoy the blossoms in their traditional way.

Restrooms, drinking water stations, and parking spaces are available throughout the grounds for visitor convenience. The facilities are designed to support extended visits and regular family use.

The park features multiple shelters scattered across the grounds that offer shaded rest areas overlooking the river. These pavilions are especially useful on hot or rainy days and serve as informal gathering spots.
