Nariwa Museum

The Nariwa Museum is an art museum with biographical and archaeological collections in Takahashi, designed by renowned architect Tadao Ando. The concrete structure integrates seamlessly with the surrounding landscape, creating a cohesive environment for viewing the exhibitions.

The museum was founded in 1953 as the first municipal art museum in Okayama Prefecture. Its establishment marked an important moment in the region's cultural development.

The museum displays paintings by local artist Torajiro Kojima alongside Egyptian antiquities he gathered during his travels. The collection shows how one person brought together two distinct artistic worlds across continents and centuries.
