Kotoden Kawaramachi Building

The Kotoden Kawaramachi Building is a modern commercial structure in central Takamatsu with retail and office spaces across ten floors. The building combines shopping areas, restaurants, and workplaces in a single integrated space.

The building opened in 2001 and replaced the former Sogo department store that once stood on this site. Its completion marked a shift in how Takamatsu developed its commercial spaces.

The building functions as a meeting place where locals shop, eat, and spend time together throughout the day. The shops and restaurants reflect what people in Takamatsu actually want, creating a space where everyday encounters happen naturally.

The building sits directly above Kawaramachi Station and is easy to reach by train. It is well equipped with elevators and you can enter from several different sides depending on where you are walking.
