Tomakomai City Museum

Tomakomai City Museum is a multi-floor art museum displaying collections focused on natural history, archaeology, and contemporary art. The exhibition spaces blend objects related to the local environment with artifacts spanning different periods of regional development.

The museum was founded in 1985 to commemorate a major centenary milestone in the city's development. A comprehensive renovation in 2013 updated the exhibition spaces and improved how collections are displayed.
