感応院, Buddhist temple in Fujisawa, Japan
Kan'o-in temple encompasses traditional Japanese architectural elements with wooden structures, curved roofs, and meditation spaces within its grounds.
Founded in 1218 during the Kamakura period, the temple gained prominence when it was designated as an official seminary by the Tokugawa shogunate in 1609.
The temple holds the position of the first station in the Sagami Region's 88 Temple Pilgrimage circuit, attracting Buddhist practitioners throughout the year.
Located at 2-6-8 Oogana, visitors can reach the temple by taking a 15-minute walk from JR Fujisawa Station on the Tokaido Line.
The temple features a rotating scripture hall, similar to the rinzo at Hasedera Temple, where turning the structure is believed to bring benefits.
