Ōyama-kaidō Furusato-kan

Ōyama-kaidō Furusato-kan is a museum in Mizonokuchi dedicated to transportation history and regional heritage. The collection includes tools, photographs, and objects that document the development of Ōyama Road, a historic trade route.

The facility was founded in 1992 and preserves the heritage of Ōyama Road, which served as an important route for travelers and merchants in earlier times. The building was designed by architect Tominaga Yuzuru.

The museum displays how people in this region lived during the Edo, Meiji, and Taisho periods through its collections. The exhibited objects tell stories of their daily work and traditional crafts.
