Anjo City Library, Public library in Anjo, Japan

The Anjo City Library features a five-story building with reading rooms, study areas, and meeting spaces across multiple floors for community engagement.

The library building, completed in 2017 by MIKAMI Architects, incorporates bricks made from local soil from the Chita and Mikawa regions.

The architectural design includes glass cubes that reference the decorations of the regional Tanabata Festival celebrated in Anjo city.

The facility operates Monday and Wednesday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, weekends and holidays from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

The ground floor serves as a social space, while the second through fourth floors house library collections, with administrative offices on the top level.
