Muramatsu Park

Muramatsu Park is a park in Gosen that features over 3,000 cherry trees arranged along a central pathway and surrounding a reflective pond. The trees create long rows of pink and white blossoms each spring, shaping the entire landscape.

The site was established in 1906 and later received recognition as one of Japan's 100 best cherry blossom viewing spots. This designation connected the park to other celebrated locations across the country.

The park serves as a gathering place where visitors spend time with family and friends beneath the blooming trees each spring. This seasonal tradition shows how important the cherry blossom viewing remains for the local community.

The park is about 10 minutes from Gosen Station by car and has parking capacity for hundreds of vehicles. Visitors should expect peak crowds during spring months, especially when the blossoms reach their fullest.

Two shrines, Atago and Okiku-inari, stand on the park grounds surrounded by koi-filled ponds and seasonal flowers. These religious structures are quiet but meaningful parts of the landscape.
