Takasaka Sculpture Promenade

The Takasaka Sculpture Promenade is an outdoor walking route in Higashimatsuyama featuring sculptures positioned along a paved path. The artworks sit among trees and grass, creating a blend of art and natural surroundings throughout the space.

The promenade was created by sculptor Hiroatsu Takata as part of Japan's late 20th century movement toward outdoor art installations. This project marked a shift toward bringing contemporary sculpture into accessible public spaces rather than keeping it confined to museums.
