Discovery Park Yaizu

Discovery Park Yaizu is a science museum and astronomical center featuring an 80-centimeter telescope and a planetarium equipped with advanced computer graphics projection. The facility combines observation capabilities with indoor exhibition spaces for learning about the cosmos and natural sciences.

The facility was built with a focus on astronomical research in the Tokai region and includes a telescope crafted by renowned telescope maker Sojiro Norizuki. This instrument became central to the site's mission of sharing knowledge about the night sky with the public.
