Botanical Garden of Klaipėda University

The garden extends across 9.3 hectares in the Danė River valley, featuring collections of coniferous, deciduous, ornamental, and medicinal plants from various continents.

Established in 1993 on the grounds of former royal Tauralaukis park, the garden has evolved into a center for botanical research and environmental education.

The garden maintains over 3,500 plant species and conducts 50 educational tours annually for students, researchers, and the general public.

Visitors can explore four main plant collections throughout the year, with guided tours and educational programs available through the university administration.

In 2024, this botanical institution joined the European Route of Historic Pharmacies and Medicinal Gardens, emphasizing its role in pharmaceutical research.
