The Klaipeda Musical Theatre features a main auditorium seating 700 people and a chamber hall accommodating 200 attendees for various performances.
Founded in 1987 to replace the Klaipeda People's Opera Theatre, this institution has produced more than one hundred stage works over three decades.
The theatre maintains a company of 238 members, including 17 opera soloists, 37 choir singers, 22 ballet dancers, and 66 orchestra musicians.
The theatre underwent extensive renovations starting in 2018, incorporating modern sound systems, lighting equipment, and additional rehearsal spaces.
During summer 2020, the theatre presented Richard Wagner's Flying Dutchman at the historic Paul Willy Lindenau Shipyard in Klaipėda.
