The History Museum of Lithuania Minor

The History Museum of Lithuania Minor is housed in a 1774 Baroque building in central Klaipėda and displays objects and documents from the region's history. The structure is surrounded by an expansive vineyard and contains thousands of historical items.

The museum was founded in 1924 by Lithuanian and German scholars and began with a modest collection of items. Over the decades, the collection expanded significantly to become what it is today.

The museum displays how people in this region once lived, focusing on the ancient peoples who inhabited the area. The exhibitions reveal their customs, especially their burial practices and the daily life of their communities.
