Pilsotas, Residential skyscraper in Gandrališkės district, Klaipėda, Lithuania.
Pilsotas is a residential complex in the Gandrališkės district that rises 112 meters (367 feet) with 34 floors containing 164 apartments. The building features five units per floor and vertical glass bands on its western facade, with horizontal window arrangements throughout the structure.
Construction began in July 2005 on former military grounds and was completed in May 2007. At that time, it became Lithuania's tallest residential building.
The building's name references medieval Curonian lands, connecting modern residential life to the region's past. This naming choice ties the structure to local historical identity.
The building is accessible from street level with multiple entrances for the different units. Dedicated elevator shafts and emergency stairs are integrated throughout for easy access to all residential areas.
The facade panels shift between grey and green tones throughout the day based on changing natural light conditions. This color variation is created by the special surface properties of the cladding, which reflects light differently depending on the sun's angle.
