Žvėrynas Bridge, Steel bridge in Žvėrynas district, Vilnius, Lithuania
The Žvėrynas Bridge spans across the Neris River with a length of 103 meters and features stone piers supporting its metal framework.
Originally constructed from timber in 1892, the bridge was rebuilt in 1906 using steel and stone to establish a connection with central Vilnius.
The bridge holds protective barricades from January 1991, marked by a commemorative stone that represents Lithuanian independence movements.
Located on A. Mickevičiaus Street, this 11-meter high crossing connects the Naujamiestis area with the residential district of Žvėrynas.
The bridge structure incorporates LED lighting systems that illuminate the crossing with different colors during evening hours.
