Naisiai Manor, Manor house in Šiauliai District Municipality, Lithuania
Naisiai Manor is an estate complex in Šiauliai District Municipality with four preserved buildings, including the main palace structure on the historic grounds. The compound houses a museum dedicated to Baltic religious beliefs along with an open-air arena used for cultural gatherings.
The estate operated under State Treasury administration until 1795 as part of the Šiauliai economic region. Ownership changed hands multiple times afterward, shaping the buildings and grounds as they exist today.
The site holds Lithuania's only museum dedicated to Baltic deities, displaying roughly 50 oak figures that represent ancient spiritual beliefs. These sculptures show how traditional religious practices have been preserved in physical form.
The site is accessible through the local road network and offers plenty of space to explore the buildings and grounds at your own pace. Wear comfortable shoes as the estate encourages walking through different areas and discovering the various sections.
The grounds contain a large open-air arena matching the size of Rome's Colosseum, stretching about 200 meters in length. This remarkably vast amphitheater now serves as a venue for cultural events and traditional festivals.
