Riga Motor Museum, Automobile museum in Riga, Latvia.
Riga Motor Museum is an automobile museum displaying more than 100 vehicles spanning different eras of automotive development. The collection is arranged across three floors and includes cars, motorcycles, and specialized vehicles from various manufacturers.
The museum was established in 1989 by the Latvia Antique Automobile Club and reopened in 2016 after extensive reconstruction. The renovation transformed it into a modern exhibition space while preserving the original collection's integrity.
The collection reflects Latvia's automotive manufacturing heritage and how vehicles shaped local industry and daily life. You can see how cars built here represented the region's technical capabilities during different periods.
The museum is open most days of the week and offers guided tours through the exhibitions. Plan to spend a few hours exploring all three floors and viewing the vehicles at a comfortable pace.
The museum features a meticulously crafted replica of the 1938 Auto Union racing car Type C/D, made in connection with the original preserved at Audi's collection. This reconstruction demonstrates the craftsmanship and historical importance of this legendary racing machine.

Latvia offers a diverse range of sites combining medieval history and Baltic nature. The country brings together different periods and landscapes: the Old Town of Riga with its Art Nouveau buildings, the castle of Cēsis, the beaches of Jūrmala and the extensive forests of Gauja National Park. Latvian cities preserve evidence of German, Swedish and Russian rule. Beyond the capital Riga, places like Liepāja with its military port or Kuldīga with its waterfall invite exploration. The coastal region extends for several hundred kilometres along the Baltic Sea. The natural landscapes include extensive forests, wetlands and lakes. Gauja National Park protects river valleys with sandstone cliffs and historic castle ruins. Rural areas display traditional wooden architecture and agricultural structures that have shaped life in the Baltic regions for centuries.
