Transfiguration Church of Chișinău

The Transfiguration Church is a church building featuring Russian Revival architecture with a Greek Cross floor plan positioned in the heart of the city. Its distinctive design sits strategically between major government institutions and serves as a notable architectural presence.

The church was constructed between 1898 and 1902 following a major donation and became an important religious landmark. During the Soviet era it was repurposed as a planetarium before being restored to its original function in 1990.
