Limbricht Castle

Limbricht Castle is a rectangular fortress built on a raised moated site with a pointed spire tower and decorative hardstone around the windows. A masonry arch bridge links the main building to the inner courtyard, creating a connected layout.

Building took place between the 1600s and 1700s, combining design ideas from both centuries into one structure. This period saw major changes in how fortifications were designed across the region.

Two fireplaces from different centuries sit in the interior: one from the 1600s decorated with lion sculptures and columns, and another from the 1700s with carved details. Both styles show how tastes changed over time.

Today the castle operates as an event venue with multiple banquet halls suitable for weddings, corporate gatherings, and celebrations. It can accommodate groups ranging from small parties to large crowds, making it flexible for different needs.

A square garden pavilion with a tent roof features corner blocks and special hardstone window frames that show careful craftsmanship. Most visitors walk past this small outbuilding without noticing the fine details that match the main structure.
