Den Alerdinck, Laag Zuthem

Den Alerdinck features a grand manor house encircled by a moat, accompanied by a coach house, orchard, and forested grounds in Overijssel province.

First mentioned in 1427 as a taxpaying farm, Den Alerdinck evolved into a manor house by 1648 and underwent substantial development after its purchase in 1797.

The estate maintains its original architectural elements as a Rijksmonument, representing the typical Dutch noble residences of the 17th and 18th centuries.

The estate accommodates up to 100 guests in its facilities and provides four vacation homes within the castle moat for overnight stays.

In 1830, the estate owner constructed a 3.6-kilometer dike to protect the property from frequent floods caused by the nearby Zuiderzee and rivers.
