This is Holland

This is Holland is a flying theater in Amsterdam-Noord that simulates aerial journeys over Dutch landscapes for about 40 passengers at a time. The experience combines a spherical screen with motion platform technology to create the sensation of flight.

The circular structure was completed in 2017 by Mopet architecten on Amsterdam's northern riverbank. It was built on the site of a former office development and transformed into an entertainment venue.

The flying theater presents Dutch world heritage sites and national landmarks through aerial footage, showing how water management shapes the Dutch landscape. Visitors experience this connection between engineering and nature as they view the country from above.

The venue is accessible by free ferry from Amsterdam Central Station to Buiksloterweg, with regular departures throughout the day. Visitors should plan for ferry travel time and the location across the river in the northern district.

The nine-minute flight experience incorporates wind effects, mist sprays, and authentic scents synchronized with helicopter-filmed footage. These sensory elements combine to create an immersive experience that goes beyond what you see on the screen.
