Speed Monster

The Speed Monster roller coaster stretches 690 meters through the forest landscape, reaching heights of 31 meters and speeds of 90 kilometers per hour.

The construction of Speed Monster in 2006 marked the largest investment at Tusenfryd theme park, with a total cost of 60 million Norwegian kroner.

The ride incorporates elements of Norwegian engineering with its signature Norwegian Loop, which circles around the entrance escalators of the park.

The roller coaster operates with two trains of three cars each, allowing twelve riders per departure and processing up to 700 passengers every hour.

The hydraulic launch system propels riders from zero to 90 kilometers per hour in 2.2 seconds before entering three different inversions along the track.
