Manufactured by Dutch company Vekoma, this wooden roller coaster opened at Tusenfryd amusement park on May 1, 2001, marking a new era for Norwegian attractions.
As Norway's only wooden roller coaster, the Thundercoaster represents an important part of the country's modern entertainment infrastructure.
The ride operates with two trains containing 12 cars each, accommodating 24 riders per train, with updated Timberliner models installed during the 2015 season.
The coaster's maximum vertical angle reaches 57.3 degrees, creating a force of 2.3 G during the two-minute journey through its course.
