Thundercoaster

Thundercoaster is a wooden roller coaster at Tusenfryd amusement park that winds along a nearly 1-kilometer track with sharp turns and a steep initial drop. The ride accelerates quickly and delivers powerful sensations throughout its journey.

The coaster was designed by Dutch manufacturer Vekoma and opened in the amusement park in 2001. Its arrival brought a new kind of thrill experience to Norway.

As Norway's only wooden roller coaster, the Thundercoaster represents an important part of the country's modern entertainment infrastructure.

The attraction is easy to reach from the main pathways of the park and offers adequate waiting areas for visitors. The ride lasts about 2 minutes, so expect lines during peak times.

The coaster reaches a lean angle of about 57 degrees during its descent, creating an intense sensation of weightlessness. This extreme tilt is uncommon among wooden coasters in Europe.
