Gmina Turośń Kościelna is a rural municipality in Białystok County that consists of about 35 settlements spread across roughly 140 square kilometers in northeastern Poland. The area borders the regional capital Białystok and contains typical farmland landscapes mixed with forests and small water features.
The municipality was formed during administrative reforms that restructured local government in Poland in the 20th century. These reforms created the modern system of municipal management that serves the communities today.
