Sieraków

Sieraków is a town in Greater Poland Voivodeship situated between Jaroszewskie and Lutomskie lakes and along the Warta River at the edge of Notec Forest. The settlement displays a mixed architecture with 19th-century buildings and the distinctive monastery complex as its central structure.

The town received municipal rights before 1388 from King Casimir the Great and passed through the hands of noble families such as the Nalecz and Opaliński. These rulers shaped the settlement's development across centuries.

The Franciscan monastery shapes the town's character with its Church of the Immaculate Conception of Mary, built between 1624 and 1639. This religious site remains a focal point in the community and is commonly recognized by visitors as a defining landmark.

The town is accessible via voivodeship roads 133, 150, 182, and 198, which connect to nearby places like Chrzypsk Wielki and Wronki. These routes make it straightforward to reach neighboring communities in the region.

The former Opaliński Castle now houses a museum and a traditional horse breeding facility in 19th-century buildings on its grounds. This dual use merges historical preservation with working agricultural tradition in an unexpected way.
