Dolsk, Municipality in Greater Poland Voivodeship, Poland
Located between lakes Dolskie Wielkie and Dolskie Małe, Dolsk functions as the capital of Gmina Dolsk within Śrem County, with 1,550 residents.
First documented in the 1136 Bull of Gniezno, Dolsk belonged to the Bishops of Gniezno before transferring to the Bishops of Poznań in the 13th century.
The town contains three religious structures: St Michael's Church from 1460, the Baroque St Laurentius Church, and a wooden Holy Spirit Church from the 1600s.
The town maintains its position as a regional trade center in Greater Poland, situated near the border with Lower Silesia in the Leszczyńska Uplands.
During World War II, German forces executed ten local residents, including Mayor Józef Burdajewicz, in a mass execution on October 20, 1939.
