Krzystkowice, City district in Nowogród Bobrzański, Poland.
Krzystkowice stretches along the left bank of the Bóbr River, forming the western section of Nowogród Bobrzański with a C-shaped layout and an irregular market square. The buildings connect with surrounding streets to create a continuous urban landscape.
The area began in 1659 as Christianstadt, named after Christian von Promnitz, and kept its independent status until it merged with Nowogród Bobrzański in 1988. This ended over 300 years of separate existence.
The district shows architectural styles from different periods, including religious buildings and residences that are protected monuments in the Lubusz region.
The area is easily reached via National Road 27 and the Nowogród-Osiedle railway station, which make travel convenient for residents and visitors. This location provides good connections for getting around the region.
Mineral springs were discovered in 1827 at the base of the castle hill and attracted many visitors, but gradually vanished with railway construction. These natural resources once played a role in the area's growth.
