The Central Museum of Textiles

The Central Museum of Textiles occupies the White Factory building, displaying extensive collections of textile materials, manufacturing tools, and contemporary fiber art pieces.

The museum emerged from the Weaving Department at the Museum of Art in Łódź in 1952, officially establishing itself as an independent institution in 1960.

The museum maintains Europe's largest textile collection, featuring industrial machinery, traditional weaving techniques, and modern artistic fabric displays from global creators.

Visitors can access the museum's exhibitions from Thursday to Sunday, with adult tickets priced at 3 PLN and reduced admission at 2 PLN.

Since 1972, the museum hosts the International Triennial of Tapestry, recognized as the world's largest competition focused on contemporary textile art.
