St. Matthew's Church, Łódź

St. Matthew's Church is a Lutheran place of worship on Piotrkowska Street in Łódź, built in Neo-Romanesque style with galleries lining three sides of the main aisle. These galleries expand the interior space and create an impressive view when you step inside.

Construction started in 1909 and finished in 1928, funded by factory owners and the Lutheran community of the city. This lengthy building process reflects how important the project was to the community.
