4 Wolności Square in Poznań
Plac Wolności is a rectangular square in Poznań located west of the old town and surrounded by busy streets. The open space features trees along parts of its edges and is flanked by buildings ranging from the early 1900s to more recent structures, creating a mixed streetscape.
Originally owned by the Muszyński family in the 1500s and called Muszą Góra, the site was redesigned and enlarged in 1804. The Germans later named it Wilhelmsplatz, but after Poland regained independence in 1918, it was renamed Wolności to celebrate freedom.
