Holy Cross Monastery - Chapel of the Holy Relics

The Chapel of the Holy Relics is a sacred building within the Benedictine monastery on Lysá Góra and displays architectural features from different periods. The stone walls house Christian religious objects and form the center of this pilgrimage site.

The site was originally a pagan sanctuary with a stone wall from the 9th century, until Benedictine monks established their presence and spread Christianity. The chapel developed over centuries into an important religious center for the region.

The chapel serves as a destination where pilgrims gather to pray and witness religious ceremonies throughout the year. Its interior reflects the spiritual importance of this place through simple yet reverent furnishings.

Visitors reach the chapel via an established pilgrimage route that begins in Nowa Słupia and passes through the Świętokrzyskie Mountains landscape. Guided tours are available daily to help with orientation on site.

The chapel preserves fragments of the Holy Cross, one of the most significant Christian relics in existence. This relic makes the place one of the most important pilgrimage destinations in central Poland.
