Kielich

Kielich is a climbing wall in Lubin rising 34 meters high with multiple routes across its concrete face. Seven distinct paths of varying difficulty allow climbers to choose challenges suited to their experience level.

The structure was originally built in 1975 as a water tower but became impractical for its intended use. In 1996 it was transformed into a climbing wall, giving the aging building a second life.

The Mountain Enthusiasts Association of Lubin manages the facility and organizes national climbing competitions, including the Polish Climbing Cup and Championships.

The wall features a pronounced overhang section that kicks in around the 19-meter mark, which significantly changes the climbing experience. Visitors should be aware this feature requires different techniques and adds to the overall difficulty.

The name Kielich comes from the Polish word for chalice, inspired by the wall's distinctive shape. The pronounced overhang creates a memorable profile that sets this climbing wall apart from others.
