Lądowisko Koszalin-Zegrze Pomorskie, Military landing site in Zegrze Pomorskie, Poland.
Lądowisko Koszalin-Zegrze Pomorskie is a military landing site in Zegrze Pomorskie, in northern Poland, with a concrete runway and a radio frequency assigned for air traffic control. It is identified by the code EPKZ and sits at an elevation of 76 meters above sea level.
The site operated as a civilian airport until 1991, reaching its peak in 1979 when it handled over 85,000 passengers a year. Its conversion to military use marked a turning point in the life of the facility.
The site was home to the Koszalin Aero Club, which kept flying traditions alive from 2004 to 2020 using the old hangars and buildings on the grounds. Traces of this aviation community are still visible in the remnants of the former infrastructure around the area.
Access to the site is very limited for the general public, so it is worth checking conditions before making the trip. The surrounding land is flat and open, which makes it easy to get a sense of the place even from the outside.
From May through July, the site hosts an air ambulance service that supports emergency medical operations in the region during those months. This seasonal deployment means the site remains operationally active well beyond its purely military function.
