Amber Palace in Strzekęcino

Amber Palace is a palace with neo-Gothic features including large windows, decorative details, and a symmetrical brick facade that rises across multiple levels. The structure sits within a park setting surrounded by complementary buildings and green space.

The von Kamecke family built the palace between 1899 and 1901 after purchasing the estate from Otto Ferdinand Wilhelm von Wolde. This construction took place during a period when aristocratic estates remained centers of rural life and economy.

The building is part of a traditional West Pomeranian estate that includes agricultural buildings and outhouses alongside the main structure. These structures show how aristocratic families organized their properties to combine living quarters with farming operations.

The property covers roughly 10 hectares of park land and sits about 15 kilometers from the city of Koszalin. The location is easy to find using coordinates 54.100475, 16.159635, with plenty of space to walk and explore the grounds.

From 1980 to 1990, the building served as a boarding facility for the Construction Technical School of Koszalin. This unexpected use as a vocational training center is often overlooked today, yet it marks an important chapter in the building's life after the war.
