Małe Jasło, Mountain summit in Liszna, Poland.
Małe Jasło is a mountain summit near Liszna standing at 1103 meters with heavily forested slopes. At the peak, the forest opens into a clearing that offers views across the surrounding mountains of the landscape park.
The summit contains remains of World War I fortifications and trenches that mark its military role during that conflict. These traces reflect the European struggles that defined the early 1900s.
The area is part of the Ciśniańsko-Wetliński Landscape Park, where rare red hellebores grow in one of Poland's few locations. Visitors can encounter these special plants during their hike and understand the importance of this protected space for local nature.
The marked trail from Cisna to the summit takes roughly two hours and forty minutes and follows the Główny Szlak Beskidzki route. Wear sturdy boots and bring plenty of water, as the path is steep and mostly shaded by forest.
A memorial on the summit marks a helicopter crash from January 1991 in which ten people lost their lives. This quiet monument tells a story of loss and remembrance at the mountain peak.
