Nowy Teatr

Nowy Teatr is a theatre building in Mokotów housed in a converted industrial complex with multiple performance spaces. The structure includes rehearsal areas, a foyer with glass walls, and technical facilities for contemporary theatrical productions.

The building opened in 2016 on a site that served as a clay pit for brick production in the 19th century. The theatre itself was founded in 2008 and later operated from a former truck garage before moving to its current location.

The theatre takes its name from an experimental venue founded in the 1980s, known for its artistic boldness and risk-taking approach. This tradition carries on today through productions that engage directly with political and social questions.

The venue sits in a well-served area with good public transport connections and parking options nearby. Visitors should arrive early to explore the foyer and surroundings without crowds, especially on performance evenings.
