Our Lady of the Rosary church in Przydonica

Our Lady of the Rosary church is a wooden structure in Przydonica featuring late Gothic elements including log walls and a shingled gable roof. The building has three entrance portals and houses centuries-old painted decorations that fill its interior spaces.

The parish was established in 1358 by the Gerałt and Gryfit families in this area. The current wooden building was constructed in 1527 and formally consecrated in 1580, marking the transition to its permanent form.

The interior displays a late Renaissance polychrome from 1596 showing scenes from the Passion of Christ and the life of Saint Stanislaw. These painted walls tell religious stories that visitors can see and contemplate as they walk through the space.

The location offers free parking for visitors arriving by car and is easily accessible from the main area. It is best to call ahead to confirm visiting times and arrange access, as the church may have limited opening hours.

The main altar features a 17th-century painting of the Madonna and Child linked to the church through a royal gift from that era. This artwork connects the church to a significant moment in history that many visitors pass by without realizing.
