Joseph Wittig Museum in Nowa Ruda

The Joseph Wittig Museum displays personal belongings, manuscripts, and photographs documenting the life of this German Catholic theologian and writer in his former residence.

The museum opened on May 8, 1997, in the house where Joseph Wittig lived from 1922 to 1946 before his forced relocation to Germany.

The museum exhibits showcase theological writings, academic research materials, and personal correspondence from Wittig's time as a professor at the University of Breslau.

The museum operates as both an exhibition space and an international meeting center, offering guided tours in Polish, German, and English languages.

The building contains original furniture and a collection of manuscripts left behind when Wittig departed Silesia, including unpublished theological texts.
