Vistulan Boulevards in Warsaw

The Vistulan Boulevards form a path along the left riverbank running nearly 6 kilometers through central Warsaw. The route connects pedestrian zones with bike lanes and passes through three sections with different amenities.

After the war, the riverfront remained neglected and inaccessible to visitors for decades. Starting in 2013, the city began rebuilding the waterfront to restore public access to the Vistula.

The promenade draws locals who rest on benches, jog, or stroll with children. On weekends, the terraces fill with families and friends enjoying the view of the river together.

The nearest metro station is at the Copernicus Science Centre, from where the boulevards are directly accessible. Walking from the Royal Route in the old town takes about 20 minutes on foot.

The western section offers cafes and deck chairs, while the opposite shore remains natural. In summer, swimmers gather on the sandbars along the eastern beach.
