Saint Anne and the Visitation of Mary church in Lubawa, Catholic parish church in Lubawa, Poland

The church of Saint Anne and the Visitation of Mary is a single-nave Gothic brick hall church built on a rectangular plan, with a square west tower whose ground floor holds a porch entered through a pointed-arch portal. The tower is banded by horizontal blind arcades and topped by a hipped roof with weather vanes bearing the arms of bishops Stanisław Hozjusz and Piotr Kostka. A square chapel with round window openings and a black hemispherical dome adjoins the south side.

The church was built around 1330 and was destroyed and rebuilt several times, including after fires in 1533 and 1545. Major renovations followed in 1612 and 1778. In 1581 Magdalena Mortęska funded the Saint Barbara chapel on the south side, with the Mortęski family crypt beneath it; the sacristy was added and the west gable rebuilt in 1600.

The church serves as a gathering place where local people come to pray, light candles, and celebrate religious holidays together. Its name honors two saints and reflects its role as the spiritual center of the community since medieval times.

The church stands at the western end of Lubawa's old town, its square tower rising above the surrounding roofs. The main entrance is through a pointed-arch portal at the tower's base. The Mortęski chapel, with its black dome, is on the south side and is best seen from outside.

The Mortęski chapel, added in 1581 and funded by Magdalena Mortęska, has a black semicircular dome and round window openings in its walls; beneath it lies the family burial crypt. The chapel holds a Baroque altar with a statue of Our Lady of Lipa, patroness of the Lubawa Land.
