Dom Burmistrza w Olsztynie, Gothic townhouse in Olsztyn, Poland.
The Mayor's House features characteristic Gothic arcades with stone window frames and decorative stone reliefs between the windows of its three-story structure.
Built around 1500 during Olsztyn's municipal development, the townhouse served as the residence for the city's first administrator, Jan from Łajs.
Between 1886 and 1893, the building housed the editorial office of Gazeta Olsztynska, a Polish-language newspaper that played a role in local press.
The building stands in the central part of Olsztyn's market square, opposite the Old Town Hall, with tourist bus parking available 350 meters away.
During construction work in 1943, workers discovered a 14th-century helmet on the property, indicating the site's medieval origins.
