Tenement house at 34 Jacka Malczewskiego Street in Szczecin

The tenement house at Jacka Malczewskiego Street is a five-story brick structure with a symmetrical facade and decorative elements across its front. It contains residential units distributed across multiple floors, while the ground level historically housed various commercial spaces.

This tenement house was built between 1902 and 1903 following architect Frantz Libergesell's design. It emerged during a period of urban expansion in Szczecin, when similar residential buildings were constructed for the expanding middle class.

The building preserves Art Nouveau details like stained glass, marble stairs, wooden doors, and decorative stucco ceilings that reveal how affluent residents lived during that era. These crafted elements reflect the decorative tastes and construction methods favored by the local middle class.

The building is easily located on a central street in the Centrum district and can be viewed from the outside. Visitors can observe the facade and architectural details from the street without needing special access.

The facade features intricately carved stone ornaments including eagles, gargoyles, and volutes, combined with projecting oriels and balanced loggias. These elaborate decorations make it one of the most adorned buildings in the neighborhood.
