Abyssus, Launched roller coaster in Energylandia, Poland

Abyssus is a steel roller coaster in Energylandia that spans 1,320 meters of track and reaches heights near 40 meters. The ride accelerates visitors twice using electromagnetic systems and takes them through four inversions while traveling over artificial lakes and fountains.

The coaster opened in 2021, marking the introduction of the new Aqualantis zone at Energylandia. This expansion introduced an underwater-themed area focused on ocean exploration narratives.

The ride tells the story of a sunken temple dedicated to an ocean deity, with the dark underwater world visible throughout its design. Visitors experience this mythological narrative through the theming as they move along the track.

The ride requires a minimum height of about 120 centimeters, though supervising adults can ride alongside children. Loose items should be secured or left behind, as they can fall during the intense accelerations and inversions.

What sets this coaster apart is its two separate launch points that accelerate riders twice during a single journey. This system creates an unusual riding experience where visitors feel the rush of launching twice before encountering the inversions.
