Miechowicka Ostoja Leśna extends across 305 hectares of terrain, featuring sinkholes, ravines, valleys, and elevations covered with dense forest vegetation.

The area received official protected status on January 25, 2012, transforming former mining grounds into a dedicated natural preservation zone.

Local schools regularly conduct outdoor biology lessons in the forest complex, enabling students to study native plants and observe wildlife in their natural setting.

Multiple marked paths within the complex allow visitors to explore the forest while maintaining designated routes that protect sensitive ecological areas.

The forest contains several exotic tree species, including tulip trees, thuja, and California firs, which grow alongside native Polish vegetation.
