Muzeum Konstantego Ildefonsa Gałczyńskiego w Praniu

The Muzeum Konstantego Ildefonsa Gałczyńskiego w Praniu is a biographical museum housed in a forest lodge built in 1880 in the Masuria region, displaying photographs, manuscripts, and drawings by the poet. The collection documents his life and creative output within this secluded woodland setting.

Polish poet Konstanty Ildefons Gałczyński resided in this forest lodge from 1950 to 1953, producing significant literary work during his stay. The building was established as a memorial chamber in 1965 to preserve his legacy.

A caricature corner displays works by Polish artists Szymon Kobyliński and Eryk Lipiński alongside the poet's belongings. This space reveals the artistic circle and influences that surrounded Gałczyński during his time here.

The museum is open Tuesday through Sunday with adjusted hours during autumn and winter months. Advance reservations are recommended for groups larger than 10 people to ensure proper accommodation.

During summer months, the forest lodge becomes a performance venue where artists present musical interpretations of Gałczyński's poetry in outdoor settings. These concerts blend literature and music within the natural woodland environment.
