Church of the Dormition in Wojnowo

The wooden Church of the Dormition stands among trees in the Warmian-Masurian region, featuring traditional Orthodox architectural elements and detailed craftsmanship.

During the 19th century, Russian Old Believers established this religious settlement, leading to the construction of the current church by architect Aleksandr Awajew in 1920.

The church maintains Orthodox Christian traditions through regular services, with nuns continuing their prayer practices and religious ceremonies throughout the year.

The monastery complex includes an adjacent Orthodox cemetery and represents one of the few remaining centers of Old Believer heritage in Poland.
