Museum of The Pilecki Family House

The Museum of The Pilecki Family House occupies a restored 1901 building with three exhibition levels featuring both traditional displays and multimedia presentations. The spaces showcase artifacts, writings, and interactive elements that document the lives of this family.

The house was built in 1901 and served as Maria's family residence during World War II while Witold conducted military operations. After the war, the building was repurposed and eventually converted into a museum to preserve the family's memory.

The exhibits across three floors present the intertwined stories of Maria and Witold Pilecki through photographs, documents, and multimedia installations. The displays show how the family documented and shared their experiences during this challenging period.

Access is available for all visitors, and the rooms are spread across multiple floors, so allow time for a complete visit. Visiting on weekdays or early weekend hours may be less crowded.

The building is one of the few surviving physical places directly connected to the family, where their history remains alive in the walls. Visitors can trace how the family lived their daily life during an extraordinary time at this specific location.
